The Purpose
The DTS is designed to foster growth in your relationship with God. As you live within our multi-cultural community you will be refined in your ability to relate to, learn from, and work with people from all different walks of life. We invite you to encounter Jesus through corporate worship, intercession, evangelism, dynamic teachings, acts of service, and studying the Word of God.
As you serve in the nations, you will discover more of your God-given gifts and your experiences will further prepare you for a lifetime of making God known—wherever He may call you!

Length
The DTS lasts about 6 months. The first 12 weeks is the lecture phase followed by a 12 week outreach (the last week is spent in Hong Kong for debriefing)
DTS Programs Offered
Our Classic DTS is offered in English and the Bilingual DTS is offered in Cantonese and English.
Housing
Our base is located in one of the oldest villages in Hong Kong, a 15-minute bus ride from the nearest city centre. We have a men’s flat and women’s flat for housing. Each is furnished with a bathroom, small kitchen, and living room, as well as several dorm rooms with bunk style accommodation.
Language
Cantonese is the official language of Hong Kong, but many people speak English, as well as many other languages, throughout the city. On our base, we speak mostly English, but we are moving towards becoming a bilingual community (English & Cantonese).

Know God
For the first three months of lecture phase you will receive powerful teaching from men and women from around the world. Each week will focus on a new topic ranging from Hearing God’s voice, Nature & Character of God, Father Heart of God, Relationships, Spiritual Warfare, Evangelism, Biblical Basis of Missions and so much more!
Learning does not only happen within the classroom! Each week you will participate in small groups, prayer, worship, personal devotions, team activities, one-on-one meetings, and work duties. You will also have an opportunity to spend one week away from the base on a team adventure! (NIKO/Urban NIKO).

Explore Hong Kong: ‘Asia’s World City’
Hong Kong is a city of immense physical and social contrasts. Serene islands and uninhabited hill areas are only miles away from some of the most densely populated spots on the face of the world. Over 90% of the total population is Chinese, primarily speaking Cantonese. The remainder of the city represents a variety of ethnicities from all over the world. Hong Kong is very much a multinational city.
Hong Kong has more skyscrapers than anywhere else in the world!
Hong Kongers LOVE hiking. There are lots of trails all over the city waiting to be explored.
Bubble tea is all over Hong Kong! One of our favorite bubble tea spots is around 20 mins away from the base.
There's nothing like eating some 'Dim Sum' in the morning!
Cheung Chau is one of Hong Kong's beautiful outlying islands. A great place to enjoy the beach and the chill vibes.
There are many "hidden gems" in the city. There are many coffee shops where you can relax and chat with friends.

Sharing the love of Christ.
Make God Known
On completion of lecture phase, we send you to the nations. God desires every person from every nation, every language, and every tribe to know the love of Christ. Whether you’re serving food to the homeless in a megacity, teaching children in a village orphanage, or serving local churches, you will be sharing the Gospel of Jesus and demonstrating His love to those you meet.
We love our city, so we often spend a portion of the outreach here in Hong Kong. We also know that God desires for the Gospel to go throughout the nations and back to Jerusalem. As a base, we feel part of our role in God’s global mission is to be focused on sending outreach teams throughout Asia. For each DTS, the location(s) of the outreach will be determined through a process of hearing from God and discerning where He is leading us for those three months.
Outreach is an intense cross-cultural experience focused on reaching the lost.
