What is the Frontier Comic Seminar (FCS)?
The six week Frontier Comic Seminar (FCS) helps you hone your cartooning skills; giving you an understanding of the potential for comics to impact the unreached with the hope of the Gospel.
The goal of Frontier Comics Seminar is to intersect your passion for art, comics, and God.

Lecture and Production
During the Lecture Phase, speakers come to teach on things such as: contextualisation, story telling, figure drawing, character design, and digital art (Clip Studio Paint).
During the Production Phase, both staff and students will work as a team on a contextualised project for an unreached people group.
Unreached People Group
At the end of the 6 week seminar there will be a finalised gospel comic that has been contextualised for a specific unreached people group.
(We also hope to have a related mission trip to this unreached people group to distribute the comic.)

Definition of an Unreached People Group (UPG):
Low Christian Population: Fewer than 2% active evangelical believers.
No Local Church: Lacks a self-sustaining, native church movement capable of reaching the rest of the community.
Barriers to Access: Separated by distinct local languages, unique cultural traditions, or geographic isolation.
The Heart
Breakdown the heart of lecture and some of the basic art foundation but that it is also more about receiving a heart for the people and receiving a heart
Breakdown the specific UPG and how they will be involved during the FCS and future optional interest in joining short term mission trip to distribute the comic.

The FCS lasts 6 weeks. The 6 weeks include practical lessons and pipeline production on the designated project.

Cantonese is the official language of Hong Kong, but many people speak English, as well as many other languages, throughout the city. On our base, we speak mostly English, but we are moving towards becoming a bilingual community (English & Cantonese).
